It’s a simple question. Why photography and nothing else? Why do I take pictures? What’s so special about photography compared to other hobbies?Why do I enjoy photography?
I am not going to answer any of those question but will only share my love for photography in this post. As far I can remember, I liked having a camera in my hands. I’m sharing why I love what photography does to me and why I think it’s such a great hobby to integrate into one’s life, which also resulted in me starting my photography page on facebook-www.facebook.com/shaurabhphoto
Anyone with an image-capturing device can get started with photography. That makes it fun and personal for anyone. Yes, you don’t need tons of techniques to take pictures, but unless your goal is to make photography your art medium, there’s nothing wrong with just snapping pictures with no concern on technicalities or aesthetics.It is a wonderful hobby, a really fun activity that you can share with other people. It also remains with you as a memory.
Like many others, I’ve interest in photography. I believe no one chooses hobby themselves and I was no exception. I believe such people like us picked up a camera at a very young age, no matter how basic the camera camera may have been. My first camera was a mobile camera that I purchased after saving some money given to me for my tiffin. With the money I had saved, I bought my First mobile especially for the camera. Though I started with LUMIA 535 which had 5 MP camera, I was very keen in learning the photography tips and tricks and consequently came to knowa lot about photography. I love to take photos a lot but I can’t afford big camera like a DSLR camera, so I used my basic Smartphone camera that is always with me, to shoot .The best thing about photography is you can take pictures with expensive cameras. And there is always a more expensive camera to buy.
I was inspired by one of my brothers, Mrinal Kashyap. When I took a simple picture he described it as aterrific snap.He praised the image and I was motivated towards photography . And I too felt photography as a source of satisfaction for me and afterwards became too conscious about this. I think, like People meditate, I pick up my camera. It calms me down, teaches me patience and gives an outlet to my creativity. For my clicks, I use @Shaurabhphoto as my trademark.
I started browsing internet and searched about photography skills and downloaded a pdf file named THE BASICS OF PHOTOGRAPHY.After a lot of study and research I came to know a bit about the basics of photography. Since I only had an 5MP camera I could only snap decent photos.I was not so happy with this.I browsed further on internet to search for tips about taking fine snaps with 5MP and concluded for using external mobile lens.I immediately informed this to my brother (Sunny) as he was in DELHI and only he could buy me a set of mobile lens.Without any delay after my messgae he informed me that he’d ordered a set of lens for me. After that I was very excited and thankful to him. I couldn’t describe my happiness at that point of time. When I got the lens, I started exploring it.And I was able to capture some amazing photographs using them. When I showed those photos to my brother, he was quite impressed and congratulated and encouraged me.He made me feel great. Few weeks after observing my interest on photography he thought of giving me his mobile (LUMIA730)which has a much better camera with Carl zeis lens. I was so glad to have that and am still using the same for photography.It has become one of the most important parts of my life.I enjoy taking photographs and exploring them. The ability of photography to connect to our past, associate us in an event and preserve memories without words or interpretation makes it an influential hobby for all of us.At this point of time my life seems to be meaning less without my camera and photography .It is my hobby and passion.My dream is to purchase a DSLR camera. With my first income I will be buying a DLSR.With this purpose I’ve been saving and I have also promised myself that after my formal education, I will take photography classes.
