Yoga reflects peace and tranquility. In this modern age, everyone is so busy and loaded with works that they are always stressed and hyper-tensed. So, yoga is the best remedy to relieve all these tensions. Yoga is not a religion; it is a science of living that aims in healthy mind in a healthy body. Since man is a physical, mental and spiritual well-being, he should practice yoga to balance all three. Yoga is for everyone regardless age, lifestyle, finances, health, religion and family relation.

The word “Yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yuj” which refers to join or unite. Yoga was first introduced in the period of “Satyug”, also widely known as Golden age. In this age, there was peace all over the world. Swami Vivekananda was first Hindu to travel all way to Europe and US who made western audience of Yoga in the mid 19th Century. In some schools of US, students are prepared to practice yoga in educational institutions as they understood the importance of Yoga.

Yoga benefits us in various ways. It removes negativity from our mind. It helps to reduce stress and tension. In this busy world, there are lots of tensions. So, yoga is very helpful to remove them. Moreover, it helps to increase focus and concentration. It purifies our soul. There are no any extraordinary conditions of self-discipline for yoga, so anyone can practice it. It does not let us to become slave of our desires. Not only this, it also helps in removing obstacles from our life and lead towards our goal.

Modern living simply means the comfort and convenience that we receive from gadgets now-a-days. But the modern technology pulls us towards various diseases such as obesity, tension and cardiac diseases. It also makes us physically inactive and a victim of cancer, diabetes, etc. Thus, the excessive use of the devices like mobile phone, computers, etc threat our life. So, we must incorporate yoga in our daily life which helps to reduce the risk of these diseases and energizes our body along with making our body as well as mind calm and peaceful.
