I WISH IF I WERE A PRIME MINISTER OF NEPAL – Simran Shrestha

The prime minister has an absolute genius for putting flamboyant labels on empty luggage. Being a prime minister is not an easy task. We should sacrifice a lot and work to our best. So the Prime Minister is called supremely person.

Every one dreams to be the great personality, as I too dream to be Prime Minister. If my dream truly come true then firstly in context of Nepal, I would like to reduce the rate of poverty, uneducated people, corruption, electricity and water resources problem, social evils like rape, girls abusing, etc which is the main cause for Nepal to be undeveloped. If this problems will decrease till zero then we will see new Nepal as developed as America, London, Canada, etc.

I have a great dream to remove corruption as it is the major issue of Nepal. Those who have corrupted the money in governments sectors and other sectors will be checked strictly and all the political leaders who have earned more money with in less time will be punished and that black money will be collected from them and will be using it in building schools, hospitals and developing village areas of Nepal which is the back bone of the country.

My next step will be protecting forest areas, flora and fauna, organizing afforestation programs because in Nepal natural disasters like flood, landslide, earthquake, etc occurs a lot due to deforestation. So, planting trees, plants and making dams is highly important.

Though Nepal is the richest country in water resources, our country lacks pure drinking water and electricity which has become a serious issue. So, we should focus on utilizing the water resources and generate hydro electricity. It is estimated that if the water of Nepal are utilized, then it has the capacity to generate more than 83000 mega watt electricity and sell it to other countries. Agriculture is the backbone of the country, Nepal. So, as a P.M, financially help for farmers to develop agriculture sector and also providing them education and training. As the crops can be exported to foreign countries, consequently increase in economy.

Youth are the future nation. So, focusing on youths and stopping them to go abroad by implementing certain strong law and also focusing on pension system, declining heavy taxes and reducing unemployment problem. As Nepal is rich in natural resources and natural beauty focusing on tourism industry and giving highly importance to develop infrastructure like transportation as it is another aspect to be focus on, by making proper facility of railway, cable car, road way and especially by water transport because importing goods by air is too expensive. Focusing more on producing and exporting the goods, rather than importing. Therefore, utilizing the natural resources and making herbal products, carpets, wool, and so on to increase the revenue of the country.

As Nepal, still practices the old traditional education system. So, a gigantic change in education system that is based on both theory and practical and higher education to poor children to reduce poverty and making education free up to higher level as Finland. Women education should be compulsory and increase in security for women by providing strict rules and laws.

At last, I hope Nepal would be a prosperous, healthy and developed country and we can see Nepal as top as America, Australia, etc they are now today, if the things for development are done in systematic order.  I wish I would really be prime minister.
