Would you quit a lucrative position at a reputed bank to start your own venture? This was the dilemma Mr Nitesh Gupta had to face at one point of his life when he got an opportunity to start something new. And he quit his job as the Regional Chief at Himalayan Bank in pursuit of starting his new venture, The Sunseeds Private limited. The rest is history. "It wasn’t an easy decision." recalled Mr Gupta while interacting with the audience at the monthly entrepreneur's talk program, The last Thursday where he was featured as the guest speaker for this month's episode. 
"In life you have to take calculated risk if you want to up your standard. Job security is one satisfaction, doing what you want and building your own enterprise is another." He told the audience. He also interacted with the students by answered their queries and sharing his experience. After completing his Masters aboard, Mr Gupta returned to Nepal because he always desired to achieve something in Nepal itself. He shared about his humble beginning as an intern at Himalayan Bank way back in 1996 and his professional experience during his postings at Nepalgunj.
Originally from Kathmandu, he chose to work in Biratnagar after 3 Years in Nepalgunj. It was here that he got an opportunity to set up his own factory and he quit his job while his career was soaring new heights. "Personally I had no regrets. Many people who used to respect stooped caring about me. I stopped receiving invitations. My social circles changed I realized that the respect I had been receiving was not for me. It was for the organization I was working for. But now, I am employing 35 people. That is satisfying enough for me. " Mr Gupta told at the program. He urged the students to never shy away from doing new things. The Last Thursdays is an entrepreneur talk show held on the last Thursday of the Georgian month. It is jointly organized by Bikalpa an Alternative in association with Hotel Namaskar. It provides an opportunity for the youths to interact with successful entrepreneur from various parts of the region.
