This month’s episode of the last Thursday had Mr Abhinash Bohara as the guest speaker. Mr Bohara interacted with the youths of Biratnagar in the program jointly organized by Bikalpa an alternative along with Hotel Namaskar. Mr Bohara started his sharing by telling that he was there to hear something from the youths rather than to give a speech. “There is no end. The day I say I am successful that day my downfall will start.” He shared his experience of missed opportunities as a single child and how his family progressed from a small mill into establishing large scale industries. They were setting up industries every two years. He also talked about his experience in managing personal life and the role it played in his career. He set up one of the earliest fully automated textile industry in the country at a time when the textile business was on the decline because he always wanted to start something of his own. He had to change his plans because of the unfavourable conditions of the country back then. But that incident also gave him valuable experience.last

 

He also shared his experience of looking after cash book entries which actually helped him latter on to better understand the business. Because of that he always believes that a person must pay attention to the little details to understand the bigger picture. Mr Bohara is an active member of various organizations and is one of the big names in social corporate sectors like Morang Chamber of commerce, Chamber of Industries, Nepal-India Camber of commerce. He has served as the treasurer and the President of Morang Chamber of commerce. He told that the association with such organization has impacted his personality. He also told that he was one of the pioneers to give more emphasis on automation and setting up Human resource department.

 

He ended his interaction by voicing concern that the education system had become a rat race and everyone was busy getting degrees. In such environment it is very important to have entrepreneurial skills. And entrepreneurs require leadership skills to lead something new in the society. He expected young people to take that leadership. He also answered the queries of the participants and interacted with them over tea.
