A fair is an event held in a field in which people pay to ride on machines for amusement or try to win prizes in games. The history of mela started with Romans where they crossed the stages of the gathering of people for a different religious event. Slowly gathering started to change into a temporary market where people from distances started traveling to sell and trade with different traders from different parts of the city. The Kumbh Mela held every twelve years, at Allahabad, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain is one of the largest fairs in India, where more than 60 million people gathered in January 2001, making it the largest gathering anywhere in the world. Kumbh means pitcher and Mela mean fair in Sanskrit The main difference between an exhibition and a fair is that an exhibition is an event in which works of art or items of interest are showcased for the public or for an exclusive group of people whereas a fair is an event in which people gather either to carry out commercial activities or for entertainment. An expo is a large international event where goods, especially industrial goods, are displayed. Dubai expo 2022. These kinds of events have been already been practiced by the city many times.
Every year its shape is taking bigger and more exclusive. This year Birat Expo 2022 in Chaitra 18, where Biratnagar or Pradesh 1 is going to be proud, most of the stalls will be showcased in an A/C dome. But are we ready to give entertainment to the city with all the safety measures required? Have we given 100% to kids' safety? Kids are the most VIP of this kind of mela or expo where they come to take rides in the arena. I would like to remind you of the incident taken a few days back in Kapil Vastu it was like at least 14 people were injured and two others were seriously injured when a boat carrying spectators for entertainment and play at the Kapilvastu festival broke down at 7:15 pm on Friday. Nothing serious happened more than injury. We should be serious and take a lesson about the incident. Taking all the safety measures from rides to entry to exit. Two people died and 27 were injured when an amusement park ride snapped in half as it swung up into the air, the incident in Ahmedabad India in 2019. a seven-year-old boy was killed at Playland Amusement Park in Rye, N.Y. when he got stuck in a conveyor belt propelling a water ride called Ye Old Mill. Park officials say the boy was about six inches taller than the 42-inch height requirement for the ride—a six-minute trip through a darkened tunnel—meaning the four-year-old boy died after collapsing on the Mission: SPACE ride in Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The cause of death is under investigation. He did not have to be accompanied by an adult. Kids are the most important guests we need to take care of during the gathering of the city for entertainment. Safety measure experts should be appointed to take care of unexpected accidents. Every ride should be inspected thoroughly and check the equipment every couple of hours according to the use of rides. Accidents are accidents. It's always unexpected. As most attractions are for kids, are we ready not to announce any lost kids in the arena, we must come up with an idea to control the loss? As most of the dome will be A/C fitted, the air exhaust will be working from morning to evening continuously in the summer heat, do we have a fire extinguisher around? This is the season of stone rain, the immediate sky gets blackout and we face stone rain and thunderstorms, are we ready for this? We need to be serious about safety or later we got to regret it. We always pray for good but we need to gather our thoughts and put more effort into the safety of the city once they enter the gate of Birat EXPO 2022.
