Sweet Regret – Madhu Khatiwada

It`s midnight but I'm still staring at the ceiling. I had an awesome presentation today but this euphoria is not the cause of my insomnia rather I'm regretting an hour of my day. I wish I had a Time Tunner like the one in movie Harry Potter or Action Replay so that I can go back and kill my shyness. But this is not a hollywood drama neither is it a bollywood movie, so thinking something like that is all vain. I wonder how excited I was for today as I'm a novice in the bank. Journey from Itahari to Dharan, it hardly takes an hour but I am used to this tedious commute. "Mom, please make the table ready, I don't wanna be late. At least not today." I screamed from my room, my eyes still in the mirror which has the reflection of my messy bed beside me. Rejecting all those six pairs eventua. . .

December Eve – Madhu Khatiwada

[caption id="attachment_27990" align="alignleft" width="263"] Writer : Madhu Khatiwada[/caption] Ambling through the highway, staring these pedestrians who don't even have their time to return a gaze. May be it's already been dusk and women have their children waiting them back home, children have a pile of homework to complete and men, may be their spouse are waiting for them to ask what to prepare for dinner. This busy street and me. Each time my left leg crosses my  right and vice versa, my bosom heaves and heart races faster, faster than the motorbike which just passed by me. At the mean time, my eyes glued on a diamond. I guess not diamond, it's a gold because yellow street lights are already on. She is fighting with her boyfriend or just friend or eternal love or whoever he is. Sh. . .

An Open Letter to the Prime Minister: So little done, So much to do

A Nepali writes, Dear Prime Minister I hope you are in good health. So that you can shoulder the mammoth responsibilities you inherited after dethroned Mr. KP Sharma Oli blaming him with various charges. You told that Oli Government was unable to provide relief to earthquake victims, unable to carry-out reconstruction work and wasn’t serious about the Madesh issue. You may have been right about all of that. And hence you justified replacing him. This means, all the burden of all those incomplete works are now onto your shoulder. Meanwhile, you gently signed a Gentleman’s agreement with Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba agreeing upon allowing Mr. Deuba to succeed you after 9 months, which means you have limited time to complete these incomplete work. Let me remind you that on the day of y. . .

Travel Dairy: Sikkim Trip – Insaf Pokhrel

Smooth highway inside dense trees giving fresh cold air that nostrils could feel started giving me excitement about our trip. We had just passed Siliguri, a small city of West Bengal. I could see army barrack and choppers on both side of the road. The hot air was slowly cooling down as our vehicle started to approach towards the hills. A few hours later, we were on "Rangpo Bridge" the entrance gate of Sikkim. There we had to take pass (visa) to visit the state. The visa process was very simple since we were from neighboring country Nepal. They kept a copy of our citizenship certificate and gave us the passes to visit. We reached hotel at around seven in the evening where we had already done reservation. We checked in and since we were tired, we all went to bed that day. First day Th. . .

How ISIS was really founded

Since its creation, we have learned about the Islamic State from its enemies. Its story has largely been told by those fighting the group in Iraq and Syria, traumatized civilians who have escaped its brutal rule, and the occasional defector. That is about to change. This is the story of Abu Ahmad, a Syrian operative for the Islamic State who witnessed the group’s lightning expansion firsthand and spent months among its most notorious foreign fighters.  In this series of three articles, he provides unique insight into how Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s political scheming paved the way for the Islamic State’s expansion into Syria, al Qaeda’s efforts to stem the group’s rise, and the terrifying weapons in the arsenal of the self-proclaimed “caliphate.” Some names and details h. . .

Being Viratian -Ronak Agrawal

It pains when someone tease me by the nick name of my idol. It pains when someone unnecessarily criticize my hero using vulgar words. Hello I'm a young boy from Biratnagar, biggest fan of India's Number 1 batsman Virat Kohli. I feel proud to be his fan. Whoever know me, they know me as a Viratian. Many Virat fans around the city tag me in their posts and chat with me for hours in social media. Interesting thing is, in past couple of years I've made deep friendship with many Viratians from all across India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka through my Facebook Group named "International Virat Kohli Fans Club" which I created couple of years ago and it has around 40,000 members till now.
